We're signed! Sort-of. It's kind of weird, but bear with me. Basically, the entire Suburban Sprawl roster and label is now a part of the Quack!Media family. Quack! is a great company based in Ann Arbor, MI and they gracefully manage all sorts of things in regard to "media." They publish (Found Magazine, Suicide Girls ephemera), they create comics (those Dinosaur comics you see on the internet), they create shows (Robots vs Dragons), and they do music (Tally Hall, Great Lakes Myth Society, The Hard Lessons). They do all sorts of crap, basically. I guess the best way to put it is that we're a "subsidiary" label of Quack!Media now. So, we're super pleased to be a part of Quack!, and it has been a year in the making, which is INSANE. We're still going to be running the show, for anyone concerned about the nefarious world of "wheelin'" and/or "dealin'." In fact, we're going to be "running the show" full-time, instead of jammin' a record label in our spare time (which is rare commodity as you turn old, let me tell you). Quack will be a part of all of it, of course, and that's why we went ultimately went through with it. They are great people and they have great ideas, plain and simple. We're already have stuff planned for the new year, and while there may be too much to list in this update, a few can be briefly mentioned. The debut album by The Word Play, Child Bite's 2nd album, The Pop Project's Stars of Stage and Screen album, Javelins' second record, etc, etc... To kick off 2008, we are doing a residency-type-thing at The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor in January.
