Suburban Sprawl camp lately, so I'll do my best to 
report it with eloquence and the grace of Princess

Child Bite has been touring the crap out of the 
mid-west, and lovin' it. Big shout outs to Indiana, 
Illinois, and Ohio. You may exist below us 
geographically, yet you are so high in our hearts. 
Child Bite have plans to do a remix ep and a split 
release of some sort in the future. So, be on the 
look out for those. Also, the band was featured on 
the National Public Radio "Open Mic" podcast.

The Pop Project has been playing shows this month, 
and man, it has been weirdly satisfying. We're 
finally finishing our new album, Stars of Stage and 
Screen,  and will be doing a fair amount of 
regional touring to back that up. We are even 
talking about doing some sort of a proper "tour," 
which might make my brain explode.

El Boxeo have two new songs, I'm told. This is 
exciting because they are one of my favorite bands. 
In addition to working on new material, they are 
hitting the famous Adrian, MI to Jackson, MI indie 
rock Chitlin' Circuit on Feb 2-3. So check those 
shows out if you live in the area.

Javelins have been working like crazy guys on new 
material and have around 7 new songs in their bag 
o' goodies. I recorded a demo with them a few weeks 
ago, which'll be done in the next week or so and up 
on myspace I'm sure. Matt and Julian will soon 
leave for tour with Thunderbirds Are Now!, so if 
you want to say hi to them, attend one of the 
Thunderbirds tour dates posted on their myspace 
page.

Rescue are breaking up, which is a bummer. They'll 
do that whole "explanation thing" in a tactful 
manner in due time. In the meantime, they have a 
few shows coming up, so make sure to head on out 
to those before it is too late. Rescue were also 
featured on the NPR "Open Mic" podcast recently.

Those Transatlantics have had a lineup change, 
resulting in Kate no longer being their singer. 
Here's a nice letter from Kate to the world. Check 
it:

"Dear Friends,
This is just a little note to let you all know I am 
not in rehab, I was not eaten by a sea monster, and 
I have not joined a cult (Unless you count Oprah's 
book club).

This was a strange and unexpected way to start the 
new year; however things are shaping up quite well.  
Recently I have had to do some re-figuring as the 
other 4 members of Those Transatlantics decided 
they no longer wanted me as their front lady.  I am 
looking forward to enjoying the process of making 
something new.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all 
the folks who bought Knocked Out, all the folks who 
came to the shows, and all the fellow musicians I 
met along the way; especially everyone at Suburban 
Sprawl.  The warm response that Those 
Transalantics received was more than I had 
anticipated when we started this band 3 1/2 years 
ago, so thank you.

I am excited about my future and look forward to 
staying in contact with everyone.  Please feel free
