Hi Everyone - Happy December from everyone at Suburban Sprawl. 2005 was a crazy year for us - we managed to release two full lengths (Javelins, The Recital) and an EP (Pop Project). Stay tuned in 2006 for full lengths from Those Transatlantics, El Boxeo, and The Pop Project! Hectic! --------------------------------------------------- 2005 Holiday Sampler This year's holiday sampler is now online! Our 'Audio Archive' Podcast has recently featured a rare RSB track, remixed by Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie, and outtakes from previous year's Holiday Comps. If you want to get in on this and let itunes do all the work, check out the 'Audio Archive' section on our website. --------------------------------------------------- Those Transatlantics Those Transatlantics have found an undeniable formula to stave off the winter cold - liquor. And, of course, keeping busy is essential as well. Pre-production has begun for their Toyota/Scion- funded video for "In Your Neighborhood." The video will be shot at the end of December and will star Emmanuel Lewis, a.k.a. TV's "Webster." Just kidding - Webster is too busy hanging out with The Four Tops. But the Trannies ARE getting a nice budget from the Japanese motor giant, and you can view the necessary details about the contest at www.scionxpressfest.com. In addition, they have been putting the finishing touches on their debut LP, "Knocked Out," which should be ready to go early-2006ish. Also highlighting their holiday month is the last show of the year - a dandy at Corktown with fellow sprawlers Javelins, The Pop Project and the ever growing/morphing bohemoth Anathallo. It should be a night to remember, to say the least. --------------------------------------------------- The Recital The Recital played their last show of 2005 on December 1st, with the Hard Lessons and Casionauts at the Temple Club in LAnsing. Attendees recieved a limited cd featuring one exclusive song from each of the bands (Including a demo recording of a brand new Recital song called "Drop Those Legs"). Their Contribution to this years holiday sampler - a christmas tribute to the fine lads of Javelins - was concieved in a four-hour fit of productivity. Brut! --------------------------------------------------- El Boxeo Most of the recording on El Boxeo's first full-length, Awake and Dreaming, is nearly completed. We're super excited! Also, they have some sweet shows coming up this month. Check 'em. Also, the band now has a new, awesome pink/purple button design! Yep. --------------------------------------------------- Javelins ...Are on tour this month with Mt. Pleasant's Anathallo. Dates!
