Some dude in the Netherlands is making his own versions of Helvetica using various household materials (toothpaste, ketchup, etc) on glass. He’s making them into working fonts (at least the toothpaste one) as well as capturing footage of what gravity does to the letter forms when he turns the glass up right.

Description from an expired eBay listing: “The workers are Giggles the woman, Grins the man in brown suit, Laughs the man in the blue suit and Smiles in the green suit. They all had to make Cecil the machine laugh so he would spit out the cereal boxes. STRANGE, but it sold cereal for a few years and that’s what counted.”
Other than his voice, Cecil’s bone and giant ear really do it for me.
